Greetings reader! Welcome to the first ever online debate (re: pointless political argument) between Ahlblog contributors Ahlblogger (A) and Hamster Running on the Server Wheel (HRSW). This debate was conducted over a series of e-mails in early June 2011 as it happens Hamster cannot tolerate being in the same room as Ahlblogger; pleas enjoy and let us begin.
AHLBLOGGER: Greetings Hamster, thanks for taking the time to participate in this "debate!" As you are well aware several Republicans have started the process of the 2012 election cycle and announcing their intentions to run and cite their reasons for running. "Making their case," so to speak, of the early potential candidates who do you see as your best bet at this time?
HAMSTER RUNNING ON THE SERVER WHEEL: Fuck you liberal! What's the point of this? So you can try and brow beat me with your links to Liberal Talking Points Memo and Huffington Liberal Bullshit Post? OBAMA IS THE WORST PRESIDENT EVER! What else is there to "debate?" I WIN! FUCK YOU!
A: Oh come on, the reason you were retained on this site was to represent another point of view here not just to provide all-cap invective. You can start by citing legitimate evidence that President Obama is the worst U.S. President ever. What exactly has Obama done to make him the worst President ever?
HRSW: Evidence? EVIDENCE? Alright, how about a continued 9.1% unemployment rate? HUH? Where's all the jobs Captain Stimulus FAIL? How about that deficit? 14,285,000,000,000+?!?! DubbleYou Tee EFF? Let's take a look at those sky-rocketing polls, complete with fictional Osama bump...47% approve? Hmmm, only 40% on the economy...Hmm, why could that be? Could it have something to do with the whole economy going to shit? Gas prices being manipulated higher for Obama's secret socialist liberal Muslim new world order environmental bullshit agenda? Could it be that everyone is paying higher taxes and are out of work, or under employed, unable to pay their bills in "Obama's America?" Maybe Obama is simply the worst President in history why else would everything be so shitty?
A: I think you might find that most of our Presidents in the last 20 years have historically had a similar approval rating at this point in their first terms so I don't see how one ABC News/Washington Post Poll for one week in June "proves" anything other than this country continues to be divided politically. Which is more an after effect of Republican politics than it is to any thing that is actually "happening." It's also pretty common knowledge that the economic downturn began in 2008 before Obama was President so perhaps a lot of the negative job numbers, deficit and so forth could be blamed on the previous Republican administration?
HRSW: Oh there you go with the Blame Bush crap again! QUIT LIVING IN THE PAST! Quit trying to divert Obama-fail onto someone else and just face the fact that Obama has spent more money than any President ever...Because that is what liberal socialist Democrats do. He has sent more troops to die in three wars and lost more money on those gambles than any previous President ever. Everything costs more than ever, taxes are higher than ever and now with Obamacare we are all going to have to pay even more taxes, illegally, to the fat-cat government and once Obama steals the 2012 election he will finish his plan to completely destroy America and collect our guns, ram cap and trade through and turn us into the socialist republic of his new world order wet dreams.
A: It becomes difficult to engage in any sort of reasonable debate as you constantly respond with paranoid conspiracy theory and talking points.
HRSW: WAH-WAH-WAH! The truth hurts SO much don't it? Pussy liberal! I keep forgetting to check my work so that it is not too harmful to the liberal fog you vacantly gaze into under the impression that what you think is reality. Sorry, the truth hurts so much and when you hear it you have to deny it and say stupid shit about conspiracy theories and whatnot. Fuck you, I live in the real America...The reality based community and not in your bunny-foo-foo, fantasy realm where you are lead blindly around in circles by a community organizer in a fluffy, feel good place that has welfare, socialism, and believe in made up garbage like global warming and gun control. So, why don't you stop crying for a second and criticize your great prophet yourself instead of trying to needle me with your liberal agenda, blogs and other delusional cockamamie new world order crap.
A: Wow. What a useless string of ignorant insults. Communicating with you is like trying to play chess with boxing gloves on. I have and will criticize Obama for a great many things; my biggest gripe is that he has continued so very many policies and programs from the Bush Administration like the Patriot Act extension, the continued Bush tax cuts, the continued secrecy, the wars. He campaigned on wanting to roll back a lot of the illegal spying, detainment policies and gave me the impression he wanted to get America back to being the civil and just free country we all thought we were. Instead he has increased efforts in every facet of the war, the spying and worse of all his justice department has worked extremely hard against whistle-blowers, wikileaks and other necessary leaks that expose what is becoming a very long line of constitutional, ethical and downright illegal actions taken by our government in our name and against our wishes. Well, against the wishes of those who even know or care what is happening. It's all very troubling and Orwellian and is further proof that absolute power corrupts absolutely.
HRSW: It's just more proof that he is a liar and hates America. This is why that IF I do decide to support anyone to run against him in 2012 I would probably go with Ron Paul because he is closest to being a true American out of all the people that have come forward so far. Not that it matters because as I have stated over and over that this election is already rigged to be stolen and we are doomed to become part of the New World Order. The Bilderbergs of the world have already determined what's to happen and it remains up to us, the real, God fearing, red-state Americans to actually have balls and stand up and fight for what we believe in while you weakling, crying liberals wipe your noses and do what you are told by your cynical, socialist leader. All the while your hypocritical, urban, sex addicts will continue to send naked pictures and use campaign funds illegally to hide their mistresses further degrading our culture towards a depraved, inhumane, socialistic culture. No wonder so many a-rabs and eurotrash types hate us!?
A: Are you rich? Do you or your family even make more than $250K a year? Are you a CEO or high level employee of an oil company? Business owner? Do you have anything at all to do with anything the Republican party actually support?
HRSW: Are you an environmental academic? Are you a community organizer? Are you a union thug state employee? Are you a lazy teacher off for the summer from your part-time babysitting job? Are you an uneducated, unemployed minority living on government checks? Do you run a non-profit money leech? Do you actually WANT higher taxes and to give up your guns? Do you hate America and everything it stands for? Do you have anything at all to do with anything the Democrats actually support?
A: Guns, money and stereotypes...Nice.
HRSW: I got guns and you don't...I get the money, ASSHOLE!
And so this concludes our first online "debate" thanks for reading and sorry for wasting your time. As we inch ever closer to the exciting, and probably nauseating, 2012 Presidential elections perhaps we will attempt additional volumes. Perhaps not.
