...And a happy new year!

Today marks the end of a turbulent, busy year both in this blog and in the media's created landscape commonly thought of as "the news." Sadly, I haven't a lot of time to write a lengthy "year in review" piece but I would like to roll the calendar back to last January which, on this blog anyway, started with the tragedy of the Gabby Giffords shooting. I had predicted, semi-accurately, that it would be nary an after-thought by now given some quick mentions in whatever year wrap up news specials one might encounter. I was pleased, however, that what news did come out of that story was the rather miraculous one of her recovery. It was truly inspiring to see her in action and to get a look into her recovery via 20/20's Dianne Sawyer interview. I am not sure I expected that and despite the horrors of that day in January 2011 she has persevered. So, for whatever reason that is the story that captured my attention more than any other this year.

Otherwise, it has been yet another year of splintered division and a sick, sad display of a Congress in full on obstinate sloth. Republicans and their single focused drive to see Obama fail has driven this country to the edge, again, and I can only brace and watch to see what comes of 2012. I do not expect any change for the better and honestly hope for Obama's re-election almost simply to spite those so fiercely opposed. Neither side is actually on our side and that's where this metaphorical, political knife is most twisted in our collective guts friends. We are divided and conquered and obsessed over our own biases and tunnel vision points of view that it interferes with even the idea of progress. We cannot move forward and we can no longer see eye to eye and we all want to blame the other, who or what ever that may be. With the 2012 election cycle going into full swing this year I can't see it get anything but uglier, hideous, intolerable.

Those on the right will be swinging for the fences and do anything and everything to keep those on the left out of the race or at home, feasting on their disappointment and disillusionment with the Obama administration. Those few who still play on Obama's team will do all they can to show that he has done good things, try to keep ignoring all the bad things. It may not matter much as there is no credible threat on the right as I wager they are ultimately stocking up their good wood for 2016. In the end, it will continue to be us, the "people" that lose. We claw and dream and hope and bray all to almost no affect as we are just the noise, the chattel, the common fat of the land that can ultimately be expendable to the will of those who are the haves. If anything that is the lesson that came into sharper focus for myself, that all the insults, television fireworks, and opinions I have expressed at the parlor game of American politics it is a game I am not really playing in anymore that I am actually participating in a fantasy football league. My interests are not being looked out for by anyone other than myself. We can't maintain our status as greatest country in the world if we continue to carry on this way.

All that said, I must also be vigilant in reminding myself that despite all of the above I am still fortunate, more fortunate than most of the rest of the world and squabbling, ideological bickering aside, our generation needs that reminder that we have way more to be happy about than they we give ourselves credit for. Or ability to recognize while we complain about the latest changes in the Star Wars movies, slow downloading speed of our smart phones, or how our last 50 billion calorie meal at Applebee's was not as good as it should have been we remember how easy we really have it. Once in a while, anyway. Or we can continue to waste time blaming Hollywood for making Muppet movies that are trying to teach our children to be communists, anti-corporations and to hate oil companies. Whatever floats your boat, I guess.

Here's to a good 2012! The final year.

MERRY CHRISTMAS True Americans!

By Hamster Running on the Server Wheel

That's correct, you read that right...MERRY CHRISTMAS! I know that this waste of bandwidth website is generally a "pro-liberal-socialist" blog and that most of it's "readers" (aka cretins) are probably uncomfortable that the sole patriotic voice would dare post the words, "Merry Christmas." Why, what if someone who is not a Christian were to visit in December? What if they were uncomfortable and would prefer a weak, empty sentiment such as "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings?" Well, to those "people" I can only say, "Merry CHRISTmas and if you don't like it...FUCK YOU!" That's right, Christmas is the reason for the season and not Chanukah, not Kwanza, not the "winter solstice" and not whatever other made up, bullshit, UN-American, garbage holiday you  would like to force into this most joyous of months.

Quit trying to ruin Christmas with your sanctimonious, PC, liberal, euphemistic, safe talk that does nothing but soothe your supposed intellectual guilt that you are a superior being put on this earth to succeed and profit. Not to comfort and aid the lazy sacks of shit who are living off the government or "protesting" pointlessly in their occupy wherever because they are unemployable, ignorant, and waste valuable time being unproductive, non-contributing, sponges soaked through with liquid stupidity. Speaking of soft, liberal, socialist, muslims did you get your "holiday greeting card" from the non-American "president" yet?

"From our family to yours, may your holidays shine with the light of the season" (vomit.)
No mention of the word Christmas, no Christmas tree, just some generic "presents," garland, bows and the stupid dog, "Bo," the liberal, unemployed,"first dog" lying by a fire he didn't build in a house he doesn't deserve to be in, not to mention that even their dog is black. I'll shine your season's lights alright. Disgusting, and not the first time Ohbaahhhma has been deliberately "PC" (or better, weak and spineless) like one of our great thinkers, former Alaskan Governor and rightful Vice-President, Sarah Palin said:

“It’s odd,” she said, wondering why the president’s Christmas card highlights his dog instead of traditions like “family, faith and freedom.”
“Even stranger than that was his first year in office when the Christmas ornaments included Chairman Mao,” Palin said. “People had to ask that it be removed because it was offensive.”
Chairman Mao was their just to signify, in code of course, Ohbaaahma's bona fides as a  communist! Also further proof of his continuing plans to re-make America into a socialist, communist state with no freedoms, no ability to prosper and the final death of the "American Dream."  This week, instead of focusing on family, faith, and true American values the liberal media has been wasting away trying to document the brilliant Republican Congress successfully negotiate their first big legislative win for 2012 by pretending to fight the dumocraps, and their patsy president, on this payroll tax debate. Silly, they fought and acted as if they were to cave today so they can win bigger in two months further demonstrating the utter incapability of democraps to govern. It's all we can do to help cease Ohbaaahma's plan to steal the 2012 election. If this was a serious issue to him then he would be busy working for the American people and fixing this economy instead of going shopping with his black dog in Pet Smart and Best Buy.

What, me worry?

While I have been constantly sounding the alarm to my like-minded friends that B. Hussein and his merry band of radical leftists have been steadily working towards stealing the election in 2012 I have been remiss to clearly mention that there is one person capable of stopping him next year. One person who the true Americans can believe in, who has never lied, never flip-flopped, never been unfaithful to family, friends or country and one person who is clearly set to take the lead in the GOP polls this month. I give you the only real HOPE and CHANGE for America, our only true potential savior, true patriot, and the only candidate that I have ever seen or heard that I can say, without a shadow of doubt, garners my full faith and confidence in leadership...Ron Paul.

RESTORE AMERICA NOW!
You can tell the establishment is afraid of him, you can tell that the "base" isn't always on board with his beliefs, and you can tell he is exactly what this country needs. The liberal media has nothing but 20 year old bullshit, "racist newsletters" that are allegedly by or about him (lies) and are doing everything they can to try and shrink his current Iowa momentum.
First it was the racist newsletters. Now it’s the direct mail advertising them. In a signed appeal to potential subscribers in 1993, Ron Paul urged people to read his publications in order to prepare for a “race war,” military rule, and a conspiracy to use a new $100 bill to track Americans.
Ooh, lookit everybody LOOKIT ALL THE CONSPIRACY! We must bring down Dr. Paul so that we can run our preferred empty suit Mitt Romney or one of the other flavor's of the month like Newt or Huntsman (LOL!)  The liberal, whiny, rag Talking Points Memo goes on to say that this supposed "newsletter:"
The eight-page mailer obtained by Reuters via Jamie Kirchick, who unearthed Paul’s newsletter archives in 2008, is mostly focused on a rambling conspiracy theory about changes to the dollar. But Paul tries to bolster his credibility on the issue by noting that his newsletters have also “laid bare the the coming race war in our big cities” as well as the “federal-homosexual coverup on AIDS,” adding that “my training as a physician helps me see through this one.” He also condemns the “demonic fraternity” Skull and Bones, a Yale secret society that “includes George Bush and leftist Senator John Kerry, Congress’s Mr. New Money,” and “the Israeli lobby that plays Congress like a cheap harmonica.”
So, instead of seeing how Big Government is further conspiring against the people they say this is just some paranoid, racist, anti-gay rambling by a fringe nut.  If they paint him "crazy" enough they hope it will stick and then the media can go back to not paying attention to the truth and continue on with their routine oral servicing of approved rich people to run in their establishment popularity contest. Basically, so they can have their empty suit lose to the liberal socialist communist in the stolen election next year as per their liberal wet dreams.

Well, I am not buying it. I am a free thinking American and I refuse to be brainwashed as I know the truth when I hear it. Imagine the debates between Dr. Paul and the fake in office now? Imagine the liberal tears that would be shed as Ohbaaaahma crumbles before Dr. Paul's intellectual might? What would Ohbaaahma do when the truth is revealed before him and all his lies and failures of the past four years are shattered on national TV one by one?

From Ohbaaahma's illegal health care bill; his illegal assassination programs; his constant empire building and illegal military excursions in Libya, Yemen, Pakistan; his support for the vehemently anti-freedom and American "Patriot Act;" his socialist spending on TARP and ridiculous financial bailouts; his doubling of the national deficit; his tax raising schemes; his failed jobs programs; his American economic destruction programs; his illegal wiretapping and surveillance programs; his total "do nothing" failed presidency; his anti-American stances on guns, Christianity, and rural America...Jesus it just goes on and on and on...Ron Paul is the only choice in 2012 if you really love America and THAT, my friends, is why I will have a truly Merry Christmas!

Rick Perry, idiot, homophobe

You surely have seen this already:

Holy motherfuck, right? Even conservatives, well reasonable conservatives, had to wince at this one. The only thing that could make this a more brazen appeal to "the base" would be to walk up to an oil drill while talking and creating a new spill in the gulf on camera then maybe shooting a minority. I need not say much because this one is becoming quite the meme this week. So, for posterity let's examine...

Cute, but I think this one cuts to the chase a little better:

Yessss. Yes it does. You also might consider this submission from Funny or Die:

"Gays want to fuck Santa right in his Jolly old butt, and that's wrong."

Also, "Bad Lip Reading got into the fun:

"I'm proud of my gun and I pooed in space."

Man, I am going to miss him when he leaves this race because no other candidate has been this funny this decade. I would die laughing if only for the fact that it's coupled with immense sadness that he is also real and not a stunt like that Herman Cain was. So, quick review: Herman Cain - Womanizer, cheater-cheater; Rick Perry - Biggot, actually dumber than Bush; Mitt Romney - Mormon, boring, flip-flopper; Newt Gingrich - Out of touch, "wrong side of history," quitter; Jon Huntsman - Mormon, perceived as a Democrat; Michelle Bachmann - Crazy, homophobe, silenced by children:

And Ron Paul, who no matter what he does is painted "crazy" by the "lame stream media." So, if the economy doesn't get better then Obama can't win unless the Republican field improves he can't lose. Merry Christmas!

Finally firearms can be purchased in Oak Park!

Back in June 2010 I wrote a little bit about the Chicago/Oak Park Illinois gun bans being ruled unconstitutional and speculated about how quickly gun stores would begin popping up in either place and turns out it would take about one year, five months! Oak Park welcomes, "Windy City Firearms" which I can't help but be a little disappointed as that is the lamest name ever, almost as boring as calling it, "sports shop." As I said last year:
Oak Park has a lot of cute shops and there just happens to be a few vacancies right now right in downtown Oak Park. They need something earthy and clever though, it can't just be some boring old "sports shop." Something kitschy like; Bang-Bang, KaBlam, or Frank Lloyd Shot. You can get a small pistol, matching purse/holster, and earthy floral print all in one trip!
Instead, we get "Windy City Firearms" and they will only be essentially a supplier of rifles and shotguns. BORING!
The store would not have any inventory on site. Rather, customers would be able to purchase their firearms online, and then pick them up at the office on Roosevelt. Windy City Firearms would only deal in long guns, such as rifles and shotguns and not handguns or assault weapons (though Delafuente said he would be allowed to sell handguns to people working in law enforcement).
YAAWWWWNNN!  No handguns, earthy, floral print holsters, or witty no trespassing signs with bullet holes in them? Bugger. Naturally, many (though not all) an Oak Parker is fairly upset about this what with the stores proximity to the somewhat poor and crime ridden west side of Chicago and it's very close proximity to a place called Morningside Children's Academy (an early childhood education center). Oh, and this Justin Delafuente guy who owns the store clearly doesn't care what the village wants!
“I was struck by the disregard he has for what the village wants,” said resident Manning Peterson, who was concerned primarily about the nearby Morningside Children’s Academy, which is about a half-block east.
Yeah, why doesn't he care what the Village wants? And, by the way, what does the Village want anyway? DO they want those 0-5 year old kids to buy guns? Do they want the guns to go off and accidentally kill some of those kids? Do they want all those thugs from the west side of Chicago to raid this place during the day and maybe shoot and steal the children too? What about the property values in the area won't they go to shit now? Does Justin even care about any of this?
That's Justin on the left, look how concerned he is!
Justin Delafuente says he was suprised anyone would be upset about any of this in Oak Park because,
“The funny thing is you guys want to get more businesses in Oak Park, but the first thing everyone said to me is, ‘Why are you opening a business in Oak Park? Oak Park is anti-business,” he said. “That’s pretty sad.”
Hmmm...What could it be Justin? Is the whole town anti-business or is it that they don't want a gun business? Nobody protested when they opened a third bakery in town. Nobody got upset when Five Guys opened, or Potbelly, or the new pet and fish store perhaps the town is just a whiny, liberal, anti-gun kind of town after all they actually have signs proclaiming that Oak Park is a no-nuke zone so I guess if they take the time to make a ludicrous official statement like that then one might deduce that they just aren't into weapons.

But whatever, as he said, "it's his right" and it is and I don't care too much beyond the lame ass name and the fact that I won't have any reason to go and browse there because it will be a catalog house with no frills, no range and tons of security:
The store will only sell rifles and shotguns, which are ordered online and picked up in person. All purchasers are required to have a Firearm Owners Identification Card and go through a background check by the Illinois State Police. In response to concerns from the audience, he said he will not have a firing range, will not sell handguns and his intended clientele will be police officers and hunters.
Again, BORING!!!  Call me when they get the handgun range where you can rent a glock and unload on racist-themed paper targets. THEN that will be a GOOD TIME to get that FOID card!

November's only post!

As we draw ever so close to December and the end to the wild ride that was 2011 I have to take just a brief moment to mention a minor milestone with this here "blog." This was the most prolific year for posting in it's entire 6 years of existing and I think that is pretty exciting. Well, mildly compelling? Perhaps vaguely interesting? Or at least, it happened and if you happened to read this post then you now are aware of said "happening." Isn't that nice? Also, using the handy-dandy tracking software featured in Blogger we also know that we have a world wide audience visiting this blog at least 5 or 6 times a month! Thanks readers! Or sorry this isn't the page you were actually looking for, friend!? Either way, thanks for the clicks! If we had advertisers they might have raised their eyebrows momentarily as they attempted to remember which blog this was and then maybe wonder why they would have advertised here.

Now THAT'S a milestone!  I would also be remiss to not mention our sometime collaborator/contributor Hamster Running on the Server Wheel who freshened up our usual ignorant political ranting with ignorant political ranting from an opposite point of view. The research staff, interns, roving journalists on the streets, as well as the graphics and design team we pretend to employ would also enjoy a hearty, "Thanks" if they were real.

Back to business, so this brief post can keep in line with the general themes of recent years here, it's worth noting that, as usual, A LOT has happened since we last posted. The Occupy Wall Street movement, now generally referred to as the OWS, has continued to make quite an impression on the national discussion. It also served as a wonderful platform demonstrating that in America we know how to protest peacefully, without violence, just as well as anyone taking part in the so-called Arab Spring. Pay NO attention to the fact that in several cities recently that the police state had made a few slight attempts at removing protesters to, you know, tidy up a little. Do not worry! No one in this free, democratic country would think to stop the patriotic practice of speaking out with any sort of violent behavior.

Why, that is ABSURD! Why do cops need to dress up in full riot gear and use shields, batons or pepper spray? Redonkulous, isn't it? And while I cease from beating that dead horse allow me to switch suddenly to another, the 2012 Presidential election! Naturally, one of our two super fine parties made it their sole mission in 2009 to defeat Obama and as we have covered have sent up a whole bunch of true Americans to answer that call. So, how's that going?
GREAT!
Things can and do change on a dime these days what with all the crazy media cycles and so on but so far I am unconvinced that my prediction for the 2012 election will be wrong. Just like John Kerry in 2004 it's going to seem like Mitt (or maybe Newt?) is going to win, or should win, and then...he doesn't. Then all involved with the red team will shake their fists in the air and wail to the heavens, "How can we deal with four more years of OhBAHHMAHHH!?!?!" Then it will somehow get even uglier.

And since this is going to have to be a brief, this and that kind of a post allow me to leave you with an outstanding quote that I came across in comments from an article about Ron Paul that had run off the subject rails of him and veered into Ayn Rand territory, courtesy of someone named "Roger" on Kung Fu Monkey:
There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs."
Now, for me, that's some laughing out loud stuff right there. HAPPY THANKSGIVING! (a week late)

Oh, stop your whining stupid liberal children.

By Hamster Running on the Server Wheel

LOL!
I cannot believe this country is continuing to allow all these filthy, homeless, unemployed, slacker, hippies to sit on our public streets in all our largest cities. This is why I hate New York, Chicago, LA and Boston so much because they are so chock full of liberal, socialist loving, communist, hand-out taking garbage that real Americans have to mostly avoid them. I can smell their stink from here with their filth and uncleanliness and it's clear to me that these jobless, sponges are just hanging around beating drums and buckets, having disgusting public sex and shitting and pissing all over this great country of ours. And we're supposed to pretend that this bullshit, near riots, are history?

BULLSHIT!!!  BULL!!! SHIT!!!

This whole filthy charade is nothing more than a liberally produced production designed to emulate the true, honest, clean, God fearing work of the Tea Party movement of a few years ago. A Tea Party movement, I might add, that marched in peace, cleanly, during the day, for a day in Washington D.C. (where the REAL problems in this country are!) And we didn't camp out, we didn't hang around and smoke dope, and play bongos, and pretend we were at Woodstock again with our dreadlocks and topless hippie chicks dishonoring their fathers in the streets. Nor did we have our hands out begging for our free money for doing no work nor did we accuse the actual hard working Americans who innovate, create our jobs, and do their part in making this country the best country in the world. We didn't cry about rich people, we yelled that socialists were taking over and raising our taxes to pay for all their spending. We hold the constitution in high regard and respect our elders and not signs that make no sense, like this stupid,  nonsensical, cockamamie, horse apple...
What does this even mean?
I will tell you what is fucked up bullshit...This whole stupid, waste of time endeavor, that's what! What do you people expect accomplish anyway? What's the real point? Oh sure, I have seen like 9 or 10 different versions of your "agenda" but you might as well state you are protesting the non-existence of unicorns or superpowers for all the good it's going to do. I can't wait until winter when you are plowed out of the streets and we can simply forget this whole stinky mess ever happened. Surely, five or ten of your most psychotically liberal fuckwads will probably try and stick out the winter. Hell, I can already picture the first time they find a frozen, deadlocked, barefoot dirty hippie frozen to death in New York or Chicago. Meanwhile the rest of the most insane will pile into somebody's VW bus and head out west to further clog the remains of downtown LA with their army of urine smelling, garbage-bag-wearing crazy people.

Rush Limbaugh is on the money when he said;
“We now find out George Soros money is behind this, and there’s no doubt in my mind that the White House is behind this.”
I have been saying this for almost as long as I have contributed to this blogging contraption that Obama, and his liberal media and loons like George Soros, have been working ALL this time to make over this country into their socialist shit-pit of their America-thieving dreams. And this is simply another phase in their plot to steal the 2012 election so they can really get to work fucking us over. If you thought Obama has ruined America now...Just you wait. "Occupy Wall Street" hates America and the shits on the American way with an armada of naive, dirty, unemployed, entitled, twenty-somethings who know nothing but their own stupidity. Which is how we ended up voting in Obama in the first place.

I am proud to be a real American, I am one of the 53% who works hard, pays his taxes and does not sit and suck on the teat of society. I am one of the real Americans who is too busy to blog much because I have to have my hard earned cash taxed to death so I can subsidize you lazy street urchins to sit on my public property and shit and moan and piss and cry. Fuck you, "99%" you are the ones who are fucked up and bullshit.

Occupy Wall Street

So, now that I have been finally allowed to talk about the "Occupy Wall Street" movement, you know since the media blackout has finally been lifted, ever so reluctantly, by our corporate masters. We can finally delve into our current American embarrassment as our stupid, ill informed, spoiled, youth yet again fill the streets with their filth and naive world views. I know it's big news now because two of the dimmest lights I happen to work with mentioned it the other day in the office and if these two know about it then it HAS to be big news.

Unbelievably Moronic coworker #1: So, did you see about those riots in New York this weekend?
Incredibly Stupid coworker #2:  Uh-huh, it reminds me of when it was Vietnam and all those dirty hippies filled the streets.
Unbelievably Moronic coworker #1: Uh-huh. They're just stupid kids who don't even know the first thing about U.S. History (note: this coworker has previously stated he learns HIS U.S. History from Glenn Beck) and they sit there and say Capitalism is bad?!
Incredibly Stupid coworker #2: Oh I know, they are so stupid.
Unbelievably Moronic coworker #1: I saw one on the television news getting interviewed and the reporter asked him, "Why are you doing this?" and the kid says, "Because capitalism needs to go!" And the reporter asked, "What would you replace it with?" And the kid said he didn't know!? *annoying exhale laugh that sounds like an old car engine struggling to start*
Incredibly Stupid coworker #1: Those kids are so stupid.

Now, I wonder where someone as deft as my cowboy-hat-wearing, unbelievably moronic coworker would hear something about capitalism and riots like this?

Why, it's Fox news...OF COURSE! Silly liberals, trying to blame the recession on corporate fat cats? HA! Everyone knows it was really Obama that done it, duh?! Perhaps ironically, that wasn't the only fox news clip being passed around lately...I like this one posted by The New York observer better:

Less editing, more factual and cogent and well honest. We need to see more clips of guys like this and less media effort to distort the story, you know when they pull shit like this:
I also take exception that these arrests, for simply walking onto the street, numbered up to about 700 and in more than one corner I heard it said that they want to stamp this down so that they can avoid the riots experienced over the summer in the UK. Right, surely these peaceful protests said to be inspired partially by the "Arab spring" are actually about to boil over and turn into mass New York looting nightmares filled with burning cars! It seems the "media" was burned a little for being accused of "blacking out" this protest and are now making up for it by painting as negative a picture as possible. Not new, particularly, as they went out of the way to paint a shitty picture of the Tea Party "protests" and "rallies" of the last few years as well. highlighting the crazies and the racist. Though, as always at any event such as this, there are surely crazies and racists even among the liberals but I simply do not remember anyone trying to associate the Tea Party events with riots or simply dismiss them as "dirty and useless" people with no purpose.
“It’s Woodstock meets burning man meets people with absolutely no purpose or focus in life,” she said. “They have nothing but free time to be down there, they make up a slogan or cause as they go along, and they’re just looking to go out there and dirty the streets. And they really don’t have any idea of what they’re doing there.”
Dirty Hippies! The accompanying video with that link has more yummy Fox selective interviewing and editing. They are constantly accused of being freaks with no real purpose, I guess the simple, straight forward message, "We are the majority. We are the 99 percent. And we will no longer be silent" doesn't cut it? Sure, sure there is weirdness involved, unemployed people, over dramatic youth what with all their weird hair cuts and scruffy appearances. Why should anyone listen to them, right? They are the ones with no future OBVIOUSLY so we need only worry about the children of the 1% with all the wealth. Though I might go a step further and say the top 10% with all the wealth it's not just the obscenely wealthy that need to pay a little, mildly serious attention to this. Not everyone is born into the "right" situation to best take advantage of a system that has thrown the vast majority of Americans, the proverbial 99% over board.

So, I am for this protest. I support it and think it's a great idea and while it will no doubt be maligned by those whose interests they are speaking of it's good to simply keep these thoughts in "the conversation." God knows, no one else will do it, no one in the Republican debates, no one in the current Congress or Administration. Obama is starting to talk a little tougher these days by claiming he's the underdog and and acknowledging the fact that Americans are not better off than they were four years ago. It might be too little too late as ABC news has done an ever important poll:
Just 37 percent in a new ABC News/Washington Post poll say they expect Obama to win re-election in November 2012; 55 percent instead expect the eventual Republican nominee to win.
Naturally, it is also a long 13 months between this writing and election day so I am not sweating too much as I mentioned in my previous post that it seems highly unlikely that one of the ass-clowns currently running for the GOP nomination really have what it takes. Then again, who knows?! Back on topic, this protest probably won't do much to change much of anything yet I still think it is important to keep trying to keep the message alive. This country has been scourged by economics and a system that is interested in rewarding numbers, not people. While I can't claim to absolutely hate capitalism I do tire of the business world of profit over everything and the concept of growth. If your business, profits, whatever do not grow every quarter or business cycle, or year then your business, whatever that is, is a failure and is not worth doing. while I think that should stand for products and consumable goods.

So, if you make a widget you need to sell enough widgets to continue producing them and thus you need to create a demand for them so that the widget can be sustained in a way that also makes your widget producers want to keep producing them and so on. Fine and dandy, but these days we have profit margins and business strategy applied to everything and it's not always good because sometimes you need a quality service like say education or health care that certainly should cost something but does it always have to grow? There's a line in there somewhere that needs to be fought for and really to keep boiling down to the core, I guess, what I am getting at here is plain old greed. This country is just waaay to obsessed with money and all the trappings of financial success there in and we are leaving people behind in it's name.

This isn't to say that everyone needs to coexist completely on the same level in some sort of socialist utopia but it is to say that if there is nothing but the rich and everyone else, as we continue to barrel towards, then what's the fucking point? Can't there be more of a balance than we have? Can the tax rates on the wealthy rise without them selflessly departing our own shores to save cash by hiring 3rd world for $0.25 an hour so they continue to impress their peers with their fantastic profit margins? And they say the people in the streets are liberals who hate America.

Maybe it's just me? I am a ridiculous person who maintains his naive sense of empathy that in order to be a good people we need to remember to help those in need rather than dismiss and scorn them as unable or unwilling to get to the bootstrap pulling and work hard and, I don't know, realign their genetic code so they can get reborn into a wealthy white family that can afford them better opportunity from the get go. Not to say that only white folks born into wealthy white families are the only people who ever succeed in this country I am simply generalizing in a strictly average statistical way. Certainly some of the uber rich were self-made millionaires and definitely did work hard to get to where they believe they are and I don't think these people, as Bill O'Reilly might say, should have their achievement punished. However, they should pay a share as they wouldn't have the opportunity to do what they did anywhere else. You know, like Elizabeth Warren says, "nobody got rich on his own."

To personalize this a tad more, I made the rare weak decision the other night to indulge in some fast food and get some "food" from the local Wendy's. My local Wendy's is located at the intersection of two fairly major streets in the greater Chicagolandpire-metropolitan area and thus attracts a very diverse crowd. While waiting to place our order for cheaply produced, unhealthy, environmentally challenging junk food we waited behind a dread-locked, urine soaked homeless guy who stood on line for nearly 20 minutes just to order a small frosty. That's it, that's all he had money for and maybe that's all he was going to have to eat that day.

Meanwhile, the line was fairly slow moving, there was an old man sitting near by, already had eaten, sitting alone and just jabbering away at no one. At no one I could see, at any rate. I couldn't really follow what he was saying but I kept wondering who he thought he was talking to? Was he crazy? Was he lost? Is he senile? Was he talking to his long passed wife or friend? Was he one of the patients recently released from a rash of Illinois state mental facilities that Quinn had closed for budget constraints? I was there for all of 20 minutes and the entire time I was faced with those who were less fortunate and I did nothing. I didn't buy the homeless guy a meal. I didn't sit down and give the old guy someone to talk to. So, I am showing you this hypocrisy to illustrate that these problems are not only serious, they are seriously hard to deal with.

I don't have all the answers and I am just as afraid to help as anyone else but at least I can recognize that the help needs to be there and simply dismissed those people as jerks who deserved what they got and should be left to die of malnutrition outside of some local fast-food shitery. Which is why I support action such as the Occupy Wall Street movement and refuse to simply dismiss it as people who "don't live in the real world." If the scum that perpetrated the financial collapse in the first place actually lived in the real world, the one without massive salaries, stock options and yearly bonuses for growing corporate profits further they would be in fucking jail like what happens to the rest of us when we commit a crime. Any crime. Sure life is unjust and is not always fair but the system we created for ourselves and our self governance need not be so cruel and inhuman in the name of a successful few and their "profits." That homeless guy and that old guy at Wendy's should have help if they want it and they shouldn't have to subsist on fucking Wendy's. Our entire lower classes, in fact, seem to be subsisting on fast-food because they can't afford to eat healthy, they have no real choice, just 99 cent menus. They are the 99%.

**UPDATE**
Worth noting, since it was missed when this was originally posted, that The New York General Assembly, (the decision making body for the "Occupy Wall Street" protest) has approved a statement of purpose.
“As we gather together in solidarity to express a feeling of mass injustice, we must not lose sight of what brought us together,” the declaration stated. “We write so that all people who feel wronged by the corporate forces of the world can know that we are your allies.”
“As one people, united, we acknowledge the reality: that the future of the human race requires the cooperation of its members; that our system must protect our rights, and upon corruption of that system, it is up to the individuals to protect their own rights, and those of their neighbors; that a democratic government derives its just power from the people, but corporations do not seek consent to extract wealth from the people and the Earth; and that no true democracy is attainable when the process is determined by economic power.”
“We come to you at a time when corporations, which place profit over people, self-interest over justice, and oppression over equality, run our governments. We have peaceably assembled here, as is our right, to let these facts be known.”
So, as the media has, to paraphrase Jon Stewart, "turned dial from blackout to circus" and continues on with the negative coverage pointing out again and again that these protesters lack vision, direction, or have any purpose, or focus, et. al. you can at least know that is not true. In fact, the movement has now spread into Chicago, LA and several other cities with ambition to go further. Official organizations and unions are said to beginning to get on board so that will likely see the whole idea eventually corrupted into the Left's version of the Tea Party, but hey, it's the thought that counts and the contribution to the discussion. At least for now. The full statement of purpose is available at the above link and worth a read.

Also worth a look regarding the current Chicago incarnation of this protest.

Republicans debate?

It's hard to believe but presidential election season is already upon us. Well, I think it is upon those of us who pay too much attention to politics for now but it will be upon the rest of us soon. This time next year we will all certainly be ready to kill our selves rather than hear yet another word about it. In fact, seeing how things have gone since our last election, combined with the notion that some of us are still burned out from the 2008 election cycle, it is truly hard to fathom that we are really going to go through all this horse shit again. What's worse, the polarization between the "parties" has not decreased in the slightest and, if anything, has ramped up to a level of such bullshittery that I have to make up words in an attempt to even sort of encapsulate "the current mood."

And BOY HOWDY! How about that "current mood," eh? There has been so much shit slinging around the national political scene in the last two months that the whole of the Bush Administration is starting to almost come off peaceful in retrospect. The debt standoff garbage right through the current FEMA "stand off" all the while watching the economy continue to drown in shit it is absolutely no wonder Obama's polling so low. Yet, despite all of that and especially despite the notion that the right wing messaging machine has, more or less, been able to hang this dying turkey right around Obama's neck. They can't seem to find anyone able to beat the guy in the next election. Instead they have trotted out a ridiculous group of rodeo clowns to rip into each other for not being conservative enough over and over and over in a series of soul deadening debates.

So, with that in mind join me on this journey through future-possible as we take a look at each of the current crop of "contenders" in the 2012 "we MUST beat Obama" campaign!

First...The Perceived "FRONT RUNNERS!"

Hi there.

Meet Mitt Romney, 47, Business guy, former governor of Massachusetts, Pisces, Mormon, product of Stanford, Bringham Young, and Harvard and gosh darn handsome, isn't he? Don't you want to just cast him in the movie, "The Republican President" or perhaps the Republican's upcoming version of "The West Wing" called, "Lowering Corporate Taxes." Trouble with Mitt is nobody can really get behind him what with all the flip-flopping, course correcting, and mind changing. Republicans aren't excited about him and neither is anyone else. He is also been labeled as the "father of Obamacare" with his Massachusetts state health insurance he implemented there while governor. His big chance is that, next to all the other folks running so far, he is the one who appears the least insane. And that's not saying much! Verdict: He is most likely to win the nomination, at least as of this writing, and thus most likely able to maybe possibly defeat Obama. Reality is he is also most likely to be the Republican John Kerry and will lose lose lose.

Yeah, take that corn dog...take it all.

Meet Governor of Texas, Rick Perry, 61, also a Pisces, Evangelical Christian, former Democrat (circa 1989). While not the only Texan running as of this writing probably the one most responsible for the reactionary phrase, "read my lips, NO NEW TEXANS." When he initially threw his hat in the Republican nomination ring he was immediately given "front runner" status and "shook up the race" all while taking steam from the presumed Mitt Romney and early upstart Tea Party Favorite Michele Bachmann. Alas, not unlike many Republican Texans, all involved forgot to account for the notion that he's a Jackass. He also wants to give in-state tuition to illegal immigrant children born here so they can go to college here and also wanted to use an executive order to "force" innocent little girls to get inoculated against HPV. Which, you know, is LIBERAL SOCIALISM!?!?

On top of that he scares old people by saying social security is unconstitutional and a Ponzi scheme and implied he would make it go away. Verdict: Actually having worked as Lt. Governor under Bush II (and also for Gore in his Democratic days) he really kind of makes Bush look like a rocket surgeon. So, I can only assume he will go on to win the nomination and the Presidency because, hell, you could just sit down and have a beer with him. In reality, he's gonna lose lose lose but at least the presidential debates next year will be funny as hell.

That said, I bet I know a major lobbyist organization who will funnel him some coin...
Yeeeeee-HAW!!!
...as Gov. Rick Perry sat in front of group of South Carolina citizens and was asked:
"Are you for gun control?” The audience howled with laughter that the question was even asked, but Perry answered dutifully: “I am actually for gun control.”
(At this point you could hear the laughter nervously diminish.)
Then Perry added, “Use both hands.” Ah, the howling of laughter and thunderous applause returned.
The NRA just came.

And Now, The current "Straw Poll Winners"

Mmmmmm.

Minnesota House of Representatives own, Michele Bachmann, 55, Aries, Also Evangelical Christian, winner of the Iowa straw poll in August, Possibly insane. You know, there is so much one could poke fun at that it's overwhelming. Then, after one thinks about her and the fact that the collective "we" are actually pretending to take her seriously, it gets kind of scary. She is everything insane about the far right and the Tea Party and one need not look any further than to watch her official Tea Party response to the 2011 state of the union speech this past winter.

HOLY FUCK WHO IS SHE LOOKING AT!?!?!

You can just go on an on but I won't...Though if you want more you might want to visit this fun list compiled by Think Progress that includes gems such as:
“normalization” of homosexuality would lead to “desensitization”: “Very effective way to do this with a bunch of second graders, is take a picture of ‘The Lion King’ for instance, and a teacher might say, ‘Do you know that the music for this movie was written by a gay man?’ The message is: I’m better at what I do, because I’m gay.”
Mmm-Hmm, you know who else seems gay?
Marcus Bachmann digs fashion!

Verdict: I would like her to win the nomination because the insanity would be thirty times more entertaining than even the potential balls out nuttery we could get with Perry. The reality is that I think even other crazy people in the right think she's nuts so she ain't winning shit.

Moving on to our the winner of the Florida Straw poll in September...

Guv'ment like Pizza.

Former Godfather's Pizza CEO, Herman Cain, 66, National Baptist, Sagittarius. Also a former president of the National Restaurant Association who, as President-elect of said organization, was credited with helping "defeat" the Clinton attempt at socializing America's health care. This from Newsweek in September 1994:
The Clintons would later blame "Harry and Louise," the fictional couple in the ads aired by the insurance industry, for undermining health reform. But the real saboteurs are named Herman and John. Herman Cain is the president of Godfather's Pizza and president-elect of the National Restaurant Association. An articulate black entrepreneur, Cain transformed the debate when he challenged Clinton at a town meeting in Kansas City, Mo., last April. Cain asked the president what he was supposed to say to the workers he would have to lay off because of the cost of the "employer mandate." Clinton responded that there would be plenty of subsidies for small businessmen, but Cain persisted. "Quite honestly, your calculation is inaccurate," he told the president. "In the competitive marketplace it simply doesn't work that way."
The switchboard at Godfather's was lit up with supportive calls. It was as if the small business community -- a very large and politically powerful group -- had been told to march on Washington. Cain, said Larry Neal, an aide to Sen. Phil Gramm, "was the lightning rod."
Republicans like business guys who shit on liberal bullshit like health care and even I admit he makes a certain amount of sense, not unlike our next contender, about certain things at certain times. Which must mean he is a radical! He's also way blacker than the current black president so it would be neat to see signs at the convention that read, "I see your black is not as black as mine!" Verdict: The straw poll and applause at recent debates will probably amount to jack shit as the Republicans may perceive Herman as a chance and that is something they don't like taking.

And then, the vicitm of the media conspiracy to ignore and the "people's" choice:

Pictured humming a show tune through his right nostril

RON PAUL! U.S. Senator, 76, Virgo, Baptist, may have slept with Ayn Rand. Has rabid, over committed supporters and fans. Generally, when I meet a conservative person who is too smart to feel comfortable supporting the current crop of Republicans they usually either identify themselves as an Eisenhower Republican or they love Ron Paul. They usually don't say they support him, they say they LOVE him or exclaim he is awesome and then start talking about how the Fed should be abolished and all the wasteful government offices like the stupid, fucking, liberal shit-house EPA or fatuous Department of Education need to go the fuck away. I like him because he is honest about what he believes and is also vehemently anti-war, anti-empire and tells the truth where things like 9/11 are concerned. Which, during one of the recent debates, was sad as he was booed for not agreeing with Rick Santorum when Santorum said "the terrorists attacked us because of our freedom." He replied:
"You said that it was our actions that brought about the actions of 9/11," Santorum said. “Congressman Paul, that is irresponsible.”
Paul, an unapologetic isolationist, defended his views, and said that Santorum’s contention that the country was attacked by Al Qaeda because the terrorist organization resented America’s position in the world was wrong.
“This idea that whole Muslim world is attacking us because we’re free and prosperous, that is just not true,” Paul said.
Many in the crowd began to boo and hiss, drowning out Paul as he attempted to explain Muslim sympathies for the plight of the Palestinians.
The boos and cheers have been a running side show feature of the early Republican debates and they reveal a lot about us as a people and particularly those on the unapologetic right. Ron Paul tells them something they don't want to hear, BOOOO! Rick Perry tells them he has executed 240 motherfuckers, YAAAAY!  There are eccentrics on every side Ron Paul just seems to get the good ones...
Kane gonna' havta' choke slam a bitch?
Verdict: You never know with his rabid support but I think in comparison to the rest of us his "fans" still are a fringe percentage that remains less than 10%. So, the reality is that he's not gonna make it though his supporters will still write him in every chance they get regardless of whether he's nominated or not. It's also worth noting that, in a way, just by getting some of his message out there and involved in the "national Republican debate" is a win in and of itself.

And then there's the rest...

Using his Psychic powers to summon bullshit
Newt Gingrich, former U.S. Speaker of the House, 68, Gemini, Roman Catholic, bloviating asshole. Famously led the anti-Clinton campaigns in the 1990's including the government shut down that saw him eventually shut down himself when he eventually resigned from Congress in 1998. QUITTER! I also loved that he was a leader in the impeachment movement for the blowjob heard round the world while also cheating on his wife. Also, most of his campaign staff left this turkey months ago, why he is still here remains one of those, "known unknowns."  Verdict: Thanks for playing and it does take balls to quit government and then come back and try for the top job 15 years later! Too bad nobody gives a shit.

Next...
Mammy!

Jon Huntsman, 51, Former Governor of Utah, the other Mormon, Aries, best known for being appointed as ambassador to China by Obahhmah and weakly attempting to appeal to the "kids" by referencing Nirvana in one of the debates. I suppose, by kids, he was thinking of those of us in our late 30's who actually listened to Nirvana. He also is helping the stereotype that Mormons all look like catalog models for middle age suit companies. Verdict: Liberal fuckwads like me can almost stand him so that means there is NO way he is coming any closer to any nominations! That, combined with the fact that a simple internet search will find this...
Oops...
Next.

Rick Santorum, 53, Former U.S. Senator, Taurus, Roman Catholic, Homophobe.
Santorum 1. The frothy mix of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the byproduct of anal sex. 2. Senator Rick Santorum.
Nice, that is still the first link you see when you Google Rick Santorum and frankly is just about all you need to know about him. He even knows about it and apparently has contacted Google to complain:
Now, the Republican presidential candidate says he’s convinced Google could do something to remedy the issue, if the company wanted to.
“I suspect if something was up there like that about Joe Biden, they’d get rid of it,” Santorum said. “If you're a responsible business, you don't let things like that happen in your business that have an impact on the country.”
He continued: “To have a business allow that type of filth to be purveyed through their website or through their system is something that they say they can't handle but I suspect that's not true.”
Isn't that cute that he thinks the one link that comes up more than any other when you Google him somehow has an impact on the country. Verdict: LOL!
Let's move on...
Gary Johnson, 58, former Governor of New Mexico, Capricorn, Lutheran. He had one applause line in the one debate that I was aware he was invovled in when he joked that his dog has created more shovel ready jobs then Obama has. The next day it was noted that he stole that joke from Rush Limbaugh. Panderer no one has ever heard of? Verdict: Gary Johnson ran for president?

And finally, there's those who they wish would run/might yet run/sucking cash out of their hapless supporters with a constant tease of maybe possibly running but probably won't because of celebrity whoredom...

Sarah Palin!
Yes, this (and they) are fake.
I am no longer sure that EVERYONE is hoping that Palin will finally quit wishy-washing her way through an endless, pointless, talent less media tour as it is becoming as plain as day that she simply cannot win. Though she comes off a little better these days now that Bachmann is out there stealing the "hot, female Republican" thing. Verdict: Doubtful she will run but if she does she will show up and declare AT the convention after all the debates and after the nomination process has ended because she's a rogue!

Which leaves, again as of this writing, the latest great white fat hope of Fox news and their Republican brainwash victims...

I ate five buckets of chicken!
Chris Christie, Governor of New Jersey, 49, Virgo, Roman Catholic, may have also fawked Snooki. Once Governor Perry clearly began failing in the first few debates he participated in the Republican pundiocracy began their monthly whine of discontent and all eyes went to the current governor of New Jersey as apparently he is a favored son of the GOP. More than once this year Fox news, the Koch brothers and others apparently begged among the crumbs and gristle at this man's feet to please, please help save America from terribul liberalism and run for President. And again Chris Christie jilted his lovers with another NO. The Republican masters of the universe just love him though:
Several dozen potential Christie backers attended a meeting in July convened by Mr. Langone to introduce the governor to top-shelf Republican donors, many of them on the sidelines so far in the 2012 campaign. Others saw him in action in June, when Mr. Christie quietly flew to Colorado to speak at a private retreat hosted by Mr. Koch and his brother, Charles, another prominent Republican donor.
And while Mr. Christie has so far resisted their entreaties, he is facing a renewed effort in recent days following stumbles by Gov. Rick Perry of Texas, whose debate performances and stances on Social Security, immigration and other issues have left many major donors looking again for someone they think can take on Mr. Obama next year.
Ooh, they just love him as he is anti-union, pro-business and likes to say he wants to control runaway spending. But alas, he must be smart enough to know to run when he thinks he has a real chance to win and that might be 2016.

The other folks people like Bill Kristol are pining for:

Watching this week as Mitch Daniels intelligently promoted his book and Paul Ryan cogently explained why crony capitalism is inconsistent with the rule of law, we of course lamented that neither of them had stepped up to the challenge. Jeb Bush apparently isn’t getting in. That would seem to leave Chris Christie.
It would seem to leave you up shit creek without a GOP paddle Bill. This is the result of too many years of divisive politics and ridiculous, inflexible clinging to failed ideology that you are left with a can of lose and the three people who, at least to Bill Kristol, come off as potential winners clearly see the forest for the trees. You have got to be "Reagan-like" to beat an incumbent Democrat and despite, again, Obama's really low poll numbers right now Obama is still edging out each individual candidate, albeit slightly. Though you might notice he is losing across the board to "generic Republican" at the moment. This is also mildly ironic that the number one goal of the whole GOP, and their underlings, is "to beat Obama." Perhaps next time they could try, I don't know, governing? Not that means much of shit right now as we have a full year to watch these polls vacillate wildly. Then, I still believe for now, Obama will win anyway and what will the hissy fits look like then?

So, in Four years the 2016 preview might include Christie above and maybe...

Mitch Daniels, sucking an invisible dick!

Paul Ryan, sad face because Ryan is SO close to Ayn Rand!
Maybe the 3rd Bush will be the charm?

Thanks for enduring this one kids!

Remembering 9/11 properly

By Hamster Running on the Server Wheel

This had been a fairly sacred weekend in the Hamster household one which I observed internet posting as a means of promoting the silence I thought appropriate in remembering 9/11. Which is why my input here has been minimal and also part of why I am posting after the fact. Plus it gave me cause to come here and be offended by the anti-American, hate-speech posted last week by this blog's namesake contributor and liberal loon, Ahlblogger.

How anyone, but a liberal, socialist, lunatic could post such hateful words about their own country and 9/11 in just a few paragraphs is almost completely beyond me. I say almost because it has also become obvious that the liberal swine have all gotten similar marching orders in their talking points this past weekend and they decided the 10th anniversary of the greatest, most awful American tragedy ever to happen is yet another chance to spew their bullshit, socialist, hate speech. Yet another chance to further divide this country with their wet-nosed, naive, self-loathing, spoiled, ungrateful diatribes.

Let's start with Ahblogger's whiny, condescending bullshit post from last week in which he cries about not wanting to rip open his precious scabs that he claims are now healed wounds he apparently received on 9/11. Take from me, I haven't known him all of his life nor do I know everything about him, but I do know that he was no where near 9/11 when it happened. He was sitting on his fat, hairy, blogger-to-be-ass, in Chicago and called off of work so he could spend the whole day sitting in front of a TV like 98% of this country. So, THAT is apparently the painful sores he is describing as bed sores from being an immobile couch potato. He then goes on to whine about the Iraq freedom mission like it is some unconnected skirmish that happened to happen post 9/11 when it was a clear, no shit move by a clear no shit LEADER to help stomp down those fucking A-rabs in the mid-east deep into their sandy holes they crawled out of coveting all of our oil.

And that's the REAL issue here, not some namby-pamby wish we could be even more of a nanny state than B. Hussein could ever dream of, but the horrific (for them) realization that the real world is a hard place to live and real men have to make real decisions in order for a real America to survive. And that is exactly what our real President Bush did; made a decision, a GREAT decision to not only take the fight back over to Afghanistan but to also take the fight over to Iraq so all those motherfuckers over there can hear us loud and clear. One thing, of many, that I remember from 9/11 with great pride is when Bush showed up at ground zero and gave the one of the greatest Presidential speeches ever given and said through his bullhorn,
"I can hear you, the rest of the world hears you, and the people who knocked down these buildings will hear all of us soon."

What a uniting moment that was! That's another fond memory I can pull out from amongst the angry memories of that time, the unity. Everyone was American again and for a time the liberals weren't crying about how they hated their country and the congress actually gathered together on the steps of the capital and sang God Bless America.

That was such a beautiful thing to come out of such a god awful terror attack as can be imagined. There are people in this world that cannot be reasoned with, appealed to with liberal ideology, negotiated with, or dealt with as a "law enforcement" issue. These muslimaniacs have to be defeated and George Bush knew it and acted he didn't sit around in his office and cry about compromises and bipartisan anything. He acted and in that action he strove to make America great again. It would have succeeded too if it weren't for all meddling, belly-aching, liberal pussies who clearly take advantage of the freedoms others died for and dared to question the appropriate and speedy military response America orchestrated both by the end of 2001 and again in 2003.

Whiny, liberal turds like Paul Krugman who even today can't be American enough to support our country then, in our time of greatest need, or even now, ten years later when he discusses our apparent, "years of shame." He actually thinks:
The atrocity should have been a unifying event, but instead it became a wedge issue. Fake heroes like Bernie Kerik, Rudy Giuliani, and, yes, George W. Bush raced to cash in on the horror. And then the attack was used to justify an unrelated war the neocons wanted to fight, for all the wrong reasons.
Can you believe that ungrateful asshole? SHOULD have been a unifying event? Did he never see Congress completely united in singing God Bless America? What more did he need? Then...THEN...He has the nerve to claim that true, honest-to-goodness, real, America Heroes such as President Bush, Bernard Kerik and Rudy Giuliani (I KNOW!?!) are FAKE.

FAKE!!!

You know Paul Krugman and his cry-baby New York times "editorials" are the only fake things around here. Everybody related the Iraq war to 9/11 then because the Iraq war was related to 9/11?!  How stupid is Krugman? Or Ahlblogger? Who also seems to want to magically disconnect history to conveniently fit his warped, liberally fantastical vision of one of the greatest Presidents in modern times. Just look at any map of the Middle East of Arabia and you can see how close is Iraq is to Afghanistan and one can deduce that they clearly could have had weapons of mass destruction, worked with terrorists and had a bunch of our oil underneath their sand. When you are number one you got to throw some punches after some turban headed, radical, muslimaniac punches you right in the eye. You simply cannot sit back and cry to the UN with your woobie and play politics then have some kind of wussy trial...What would that have accomplished?

I will never forget 9/11. I will never forget the heroes we lost that day or the heroic actions of The crime fighting Mayor Giuliani or Bernard Kerik or the bold actions and speeches of President George Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney. I knew someone who was a firefighter who knew another fire fighter who worked in Wisconsin and went to ground zero to help them clean up and cook brats for the rest of those real American heroes who were there. Saving lives. Ahlblogger wasn't there, Paul Krugman wasn't there and neither was Obama. They just stood on the sidelines and didn't contribute nothing but liberal detraction to bring America back to the divided political mess that it is once again today. Bush finally had the country back on track to being a great country, he nearly started the next "greatest generation" and liberal, pussy, Democrats stood in the way at every step of the way with their political correctness, anti-war hippie protests, Big government regulations that have threaten to bring this country down today. It's sad really, what an awful legacy that Obama and the other socialists have worked so hard in ruining this country. We could have won those wars, avoided the great recession, and continue to be the number one country in the world if it wasn't for them. Hell, Obama himself wouldn't have to hide behind a bunch of bullet proof glass if they really knew what was good for them, and us.

Pathetic.
